A long and very stress-filled month.
After Caramel had awoke, things had not gone as well as he had hoped they would. She had lost her memory, and yes, it was devastating horribly so.... but he had high hopes. He knew it could not be permanent it would be a temporary problem that, he was sure, would be fixed right away. All she needed were some things to remind her, that was all. So for the first few weeks after she woke, he continued to stay at her side, talking to her, reminding her of things that came to pass. And to help in her recovery, he started bringing her things as well: her favorite foods, her favorite music, their songs, some pictures, anything really! And he showed them to her, spoke of those times, giving as much detail as he could recall. For the most part, she seemed to take everything in stride.
